From my understanding, Sword and Sorcery is based on the 3.0 OGL ruleset, and Everquest is a heavily modified Sword and Sorcery based system. This translates to a fair amount of number crunching, as to be expected with 3/3.5 type rulesets - but with a bunch of rules you may or may not have seen, a-la homebrews.All of this aside, however, this gets 5 stars for being a GREAT translation of the Everquest MMORPG to a tabletop playable format. Everything from races, classes, zones, and mechanics - it's all there, for the most part. I played the original EQ for like 10+ years, and was heavily involved in the community. Despite that time involved, there is a BOATLOAD of Everquest specific art in this book which I've never seen.While I doubt I'll ever get a group committed to actually running this natively, this is an incredible resource for 'stealing' for other systems/games/campaigns. I love secretively throwing some Everquest at my players.As an original Everquest addict, I really love this book.
The EQrpg books are kinda hard to find since they're no longer in print. I love the content of this book. It's great if you wish to play your game in the world of Norrath, or if you'd like to incorporate some of the elements of Everquest in to your campaign

This is for the EverQuest role playing game, a conversion of the MMOG into D&D 3.5 ruleset.While this is a d20 conversion, the way the character creation, spell system, and races work is distinct enough to almost be another game entirely. In fact, in many ways, the spell system presented in this book is superior to the basic D&D system. This book has everything you need to know to play the EQd20 game, including the combat rules.
