I have just read the book. I found this book was easy to read and understand. I have heard about gluten-free diet everywhere. I don't know much about it but I thought it was just an allergy of some sort. It didn't occur to me that I might also have celiac disease or that I also need to follow a gluten-free diet.This book has made me aware of everything, from the symptoms and causes of the Celiac Disease, to the alternative diets such as Paleo Diet and the so called Gluten-Free Diet. This book really explained the effect and the result of with or without gluten in our body. I've learned how important to be in free gluten in our body. Learning some recipes from this book is quite helpful and interesting.

This book debunks myths about gluten free and paleo diets and shed light on why people follow the two diets. Aside from weight loss, the book emphasizes that certain people follow a gluten free diet because they are allergic to gluten that causes bad effects on the body. It also related gluten free and paleo diets given the popularity of the two. I am skeptic about the former but now, I understood why people even without allergic reaction to gluten tend to follow the said diet. It also gave me an idea on what kind of dishes that are considered gluten free. Now, it makes me want to try some of the simpler recipes. The author must look into some typo errors in the book but overall, it is a good book to learn more about gluten free diet.

I got this for the recipes and because it contains tips for a Paleo diet which I use at least twice a year, especially around Christmas time. I don't know if I have a gluten allergy, but I do know that limiting it does seem to help with bloating and how I feel. Switching to a mostly paleo diet that concentrates on protein, good fats, and limits sugar and starch for a majority of the time helps me with recovery from running and how I feel. This book has some good recipes to help break up the monotony of eating the same thing over and over again and tips for switching over to a gluten free lifestyle.

I have followed a gluten free diet before and lost some weight but when I stopped following the diet I gained back the lost weight and more. Reading this book I figured out that there is a lot of facts about gluten free diet that I didn’t know and that certainly was the reason why I couldn’t continue on the diet before. This book helped me to learn about those missing information and helped me to learn how exactly to adjust to this restrictive diet easily.
