Good book
A book like this needed to be written
i`m in the middle of reading the book as I`m really learning a lot.
I picked up this book in my local library to see if it was worth any amount of my time or purchase. I could not bring myself to waste more than five minutes reading this piece of self-aggrandizing, petulant trashy drivel of a book written by and for the empty barrel wealth/trash population that has absolutely no insight, idea or firsthand knowledge of the average American's work life, female or male.If you as an American want to read a GREAT work about working women and men in America, you can do no wrong by reading the book "Working", by Pulitzer Prize winner Studs Terkel. Comparing Terkel to the Trump book about working women, would be like comparing Albert Schweitzer or Mother Theresa to a disposed of wrapper from a poorly prepared fast food lunch.The book was clearly written for a very small audience, such being young offspring of billionaire real estate developers with an entitlement attitude in the twenty or thirty something country club set.There is only one good use I can think of for this book, and that is to place in the recycle bin so that we do not waste our natural resources, including even five minutes of your life with this book.
Ivanka quotes another author in this book in nearly every paragraph. She loves to use the words multi-dimensional and passion. For some reason she thinks the word architect is a verb. There's nothing here besides self-aggrandizement, and a complete lack of self-awareness. She's a rich woman who was born on third base and thinks she hit a triple. She repeatedly goes on and on about how her brand is supposed to be about empowering women, yet the irony that most of her products are made overseas by poorly paid female workers escapes her. Ivanka's writing style is about as interesting as the average 8th grader. The paper the book is printed on is of decent quality. It would make great lining for a birdcage or kindling for a rousing bonfire.
"Honestly, I wasn’t treating myself to a massage ..." Good grief. She has no idea what struggle and working really hard actually means.
I have read a significant amount of this book, which was purchased by an acquaintance. I feel no need to purchase it for myself. Frankly, as many reviews have said, the book is vapid. Plus, it is clearly ghost written. Don't waste your time.
