Pages 879 through 894 (detailing the synthesis of neurotransmitters from amino acids) simply aren't there. Skips from page 878 directly to page 895. The text and diagrams are not continuous, and figure labeling skips from figure 22-9 to figure 22-41. The index and table of contents both refer to the missing pages as though they are there, but they aren't! The binding is fully intact, and there is no sign of page removal. The problem is likely a misprint, making it likely that all the copies of this text sold by this company are misprints.
The loose leaf book I bought was missing about half of a chapter in the middle of the book, and by the time I discovered it it was too late to return the book.
Best book for biochem; while you shed tears getting through the class you can at least be assured of that. Also, if you are premed, the amino acids section is INCREDIBLY useful for the MCAT.

Seems like a bogus book to me. I have never heard of the authors listed on the cover, except of course Lehninger.
It is nice to see improvements and still somethig new, compared to previous editions. From my point of view, much better than Stryer's Biochemistry.
I like this textbook a lot and it arrived in great time! It is hole punched perfectly and can fit into my binder easily. Thank you very much!
